Buying a plugin
Who you are buying from
Plugins are sold through Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record. Your purchase contract is with Lemon Squeezy: they take the payment, handle VAT and sales tax, issue the invoice, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction. We build and support the software.
Prices
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and are the price you pay at checkout. Taxes are calculated by Lemon Squeezy at checkout based on where you are, so the final total may differ from the listed price. Nothing else is added — no handling or booking fees. Where a product is offered at a launch price, that is the current price and not a discount against a price we previously charged unless the page says so explicitly.
What you get
A download and a licence to use the plugin on machines you own or control, on as many of your own projects, commercial or otherwise, as you like. Bug fixes and compatibility updates are included for the lifetime of the version you bought. You may not resell, sublicense, rent out, or redistribute the plugin or its source, and you may not remove or bypass licensing code. We keep the copyright; you keep everything you make with it.
Requirements
Each product page lists the host application and versions it works with. Check those before buying — a plugin bought for a version we do not list may not run, and we cannot support versions we have not tested against.
Refunds
Digital downloads are exempt from the usual 14-day cancellation right once the download starts and you agree to that at checkout. We give a refund anyway: if a plugin does not do what its page says, or will not run on a listed host version, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund in full. Tell us what went wrong first if you can — most problems are a five-minute fix.
Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy back to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days. Your licence stops when a refund is issued.
None of this affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Commissioned work
Filming, CGI and campaign work are quoted individually. The quote, the schedule and the licence terms for the finished film are set out in a written agreement before the work starts, and that agreement takes priority over this page. Unless it says otherwise, we retain the right to show the finished work in our portfolio.
Using this site
The text, images, video and code on this site belong to us. You are welcome to link to it or quote it with attribution; you may not copy it wholesale or pass it off as your own. Product demonstrations show real output from the tools, and the machine specs and render times quoted are ours — yours will differ.
Liability
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit. Beyond that, and because plugins run inside software we do not control, our liability for any claim connected to a plugin is limited to what you paid for it. Keep backups of your project files — sensible advice regardless of whose software you are running.
Complaints and law
Email ollie@oculis.studio and we will reply within five working days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version live at the time of your purchase is the one that governs it.
