One idea worth knowing.

Two animations can share every keyframe on every frame and still feel completely different — the difference is spacing. The graph is a multiplier on your authored speed. Its integral maps each output frame back to a moment in your original animation, and with Lock Duration on that mapping is normalised: push one part up and the curve gives that time back somewhere else. A point set to 3.0× does not make the object three times faster — the real gain is the peak divided by the curve's own average. Want more contrast? Lower the rest of the curve, not the peak.

Set up

Select any keyframed object and press Set Up Speed Graph. You get a flat line at 1.0× — your animation at its authored speed, stashed intact.

With Lock Duration on, the area under the curve is fixed — speeding one part up forces another to slow down, so the animation still takes exactly as long. The real multiplier is the peak divided by the curve's own average. For more contrast, lower the rest of the curve rather than raising the peak.
